Axed Emmerdale star Martelle Edinborough has reportedly taken a cryptic swipe at the soap after her character Suzy Merton was brutally axed after three years.
Amid ITV budget cuts and a huge cast cull, the event planner met a grizzly end when a limo containing a whole host of beloved village residents crashed into an icy lake.
The dramatic scenes, which aired last month, saw Suzy lose her life alongside fellow passenger Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi), who had featured on the show for 16 years.
According to The Sun, actress Martelle took to Instagram after her departure to share a slew of new headshots and JetBlack captioned them with a cryptic remark.
Martelle, who had appeared on the show for three years, wrote: 'Some doors close cos your spirit outgrew the room.'

The soap has reportedly been flogging memorabilia on eBay for as little as 99p amid the ongoing budget cuts at ITV.
Fans of the show will be able to get their hands on items that have been used by their favourite characters or featured on their screens for a very reasonable cost.
Items on sale include a wedding invitation box from Kim Tate's disastrous wedding to Will Taylor, with the big day full of turmoil and betrayal amid Will's plans to humiliate and fleece his bride.
If soap addicts want a core memory from the dramatic wedding - a delicate white invitation with a laser cut design and satin ribbon - then they better get cracking as bids have already reached £23, according to The Sun.
Meanwhile, a brown leather wallet that was used by Will, who was recently axed from the show, will set bidders back £12 at present.
Other items up for grabs include a hip flask used by Rose Taylor (Christine Tremarco), with the publication stating that six bidders are already battling it out, bringing the price to £12.50 so far.
A bronze basketball medal owned by character Nicky Milligan and a travel mug with the Home James Haulage logo on it are also for sale.
One of the cheapest items on offer is a paper mask featuring Marlon Dingle's (Mark Charnock) face, costing just 99p.

All the items are available on eBay store ITV Reloved, the broadcaster's official resell marketplace which sells props, costumes and other items previously used by ITV.
While the resell store, which was launched in partnership with PropUp Project, has been going since 2024, it comes amid a time of a reported cash crisis for the broadcaster.
Last month, it was revealed that ITV is expected to cut 75 staff members from the workforce as part of sweeping budget cuts to two of its biggest shows.
The broadcaster has already confirmed that primetime soap operas Coronation Street and Emmerdale will move to a reduced scheduling pattern following major budgeting restrictions.
The decision is expected to put 75 of the 600 staff members who work across both shows at risk of redundancy.
These include writers, crew members and even actors as they begin the process of scaling back their output - although many of the redundancies are thought to be in production.
Affected staff were asked to attend a formal meeting in February, with some reduced to tears, The Sun reports.
Emmerdale currently airs six episodes weekly between Monday and Friday, with a double bill on Thursdays.
Meanwhile, Coronation Street also airs six episodes per week, with two episodes every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Now, only five 30-minute episodes of each show will air - a real terms cut to soap broadcast time of 17 per cent.
Bosses will now introduce a soaps power hour from Monday to Friday with 30-minute Emmerdale episodes airing at 8pm and 30-minute Coronation Street episodes airing at 8:30pm.
However, each episode will continue to drop at 7am on ITVX before transmission that same evening.
The start of the new 2026 schedule will at least be marked in style, as both soaps embark on an ambitious, never-before-seen stunt as part of a week of special episodes.
The new schedule chimes with research insights that show 30-minute episodes attracted higher audiences in 2024, and deliver more digestible installments of continuing drama that better fits with changing viewer habits.
Coronation Street and Emmerdale are the UK's biggest soaps with a combined weekly reach of over 8 million viewers.
